Spectrum Health Systems Announces Five New Leadership Appointments

Published On: February 22nd, 2024

Spectrum Health Systems, Inc., an innovative non-profit provider of evidence-based treatment for substance use and mental health disorders throughout Massachusetts, announced today new personnel and an expansion of leadership. Frank Hight, Ray Semidei, Katrina Casey, Stefania Cunningham and Kathleen Wise will be instrumental in the delivery of the provider’s continuum of care services and its facilities.

“Our recent staffing updates are critical in supporting Spectrum’s continued growth, both physically and in delivering new and innovative services,” said Kurt Isaacson, president and chief executive officer of Spectrum Health Systems. “I know that through their work here, Frank, Ray, Katrina, Stefania and Kathleen will have a lasting impact on the delivery of care we provide to our clients and throughout the community.”

Throughout Frank Hight’s 17-year tenure at Spectrum he has helped to spearhead many construction projects for the organization, including the development of its subsidiary, New England Recovery Center (NERC) and the Charles J. Faris Recovery Center, which are conveniently located on Spectrum’s Westborough campus where Spectrum’s new headquarters and intake center facilities will also reside once completed later this year.

As Vice President of Environment of Care, Hight will be responsible for managing the physical environment for all of Spectrum’s facilities and will be joined by Ray Semidei, Spectrum’s new assistant director of environmental care, who will assist Hight in the upkeep of Spectrum’s grounds and landscaping at each of its programs. Semidei previously served as a fire alarm systems technician and inspector at SimplexGrinnell, ADT Commercial and Telgian Corporation over the last 16 years.

Katrina Casey will assist in the development of quality care models and services as Spectrum’s new director of integrated care. Casey is a licensed mental health counselor with a master’s degree in counseling psychology from Boston College and prior to her role at Spectrum, served as a behavioral health specialist at Milford Regional Medical Center.

Stefania Cunningham’s tenure at Spectrum began 10 years ago as a per diem nurse. After leaving in 2020 to pursue her master’s degree, Cunningham returns to serve as Spectrum’s psychiatric nurse practitioner at its Weymouth location where she will assist clients with co-occurring disorders. Cunningham received her RN-BSN degree from Southern New Hampshire University and her master of science degree in nursing, psychiatric mental health from the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Services.

Kathleen Wise will also be making her return to Spectrum after her initial 11-year term, during which she served as a continuing care coordinator. After moving on to work as a case manager for several facilities throughout New England, Wise is now a community relations manager for NERC, liaising with clients and communities in the towns in which the provider serves.
