Kurt Isaacson Honored at Worcester Chamber of Commerce Breakfast Meeting

Published On: March 13th, 2017

Worcester, MA, March 13, 2017 – It’s been a year of growth for Spectrum Health Systems Inc. and the New England Recovery Center – during which time, former COO Kurt Isaacson stepped up to fill the shoes of retiring CEO Chuck Faris.

And he’s helped us accomplish a lot – we’ve been awarded a $15,000 grant for local opioid treatment programs, expanded the business development team, raised nearly $70,000 for addiction treatment at our 15th annual Charity Golf Classic, been recognized by industry peers including the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Massachusetts Attorney General Maura Healy, the White House and the Association of Behavioral Healthcare. We launched our popular radio program and podcast, Airing Addiction, welcomed accomplished behavioral healthcare professional Sherry Ellis as our new COO and made a positive impact in each of the communities in which we operate.

One thing that has not changed, however, is our Worcester roots. The headquarters for both Spectrum Health Systems – our parent brand comprised of inpatient, outpatient and peer recovery centers – and our private-pay, inpatient treatment program, New England Recovery Center are in the heart of the city. And Worcester is home to our largest outpatient treatment center. We’re proud to be members of this community and engrained in its culture.

That’s why it was such a great honor for the Worcester Chamber of Commerce to recognize Kurt for his hard work and recent appointment to CEO of Spectrum Health Systems at last week’s breakfast meeting. We, alongside Kurt, remain committed to continuing the fight against addiction.

If you or someone you love needs help for an addiction, Spectrum Health Systems and the New England Recovery Center are here 24/7. Our individualized services provide the support you need, when you need it. Learn more on our website or call us at (800) 366-7732 for inpatient services and (800) 464-9555 extension 1161 for outpatient treatment.
