Spectrum provides a range of outpatient counseling services to offenders in prisons, jails, parole offices and community-based locations. Spectrum’s program design is flexible in order to address the needs of the target population.

Generally speaking, more intensive services are used to treat moderate risk/need offenders and/or inmates with shorter sentences to serve. Spectrum’s intensive outpatient day treatment program involves daily programming delivered in three sequential phases. Participants receive individualized assessment, treatment planning and discharge planning services. Length of stay varies based on the individual’s progress toward treatment goals and expectations.

Although similar in many respects, Spectrum’s outpatient treatment is less intensive and targets lower risk/need offenders. Offenders referred for outpatient treatment also receive individualized assessment, treatment planning and discharge planning services. In prison-based programs, offenders typically attend three 90-minute group sessions per week, for a period of twelve weeks. The frequency of groups is usually less in community-based programs.
