Over the years, Spectrum has assessed tens of thousands of offenders across the country. Clinical assessment is a primary component in all of Spectrum’s correctional treatment programs. Spectrum also provides prison-based assessment services for offenders entering the criminal justice system.

Spectrum uses a number of evidence-based, research validated assessment instruments to identify each offender’s unique characteristics and individual needs, determine the offender’s readiness to change, and identify the severity of his/her addiction. Assessment results are used to determine the most appropriate and most effective treatment modality, individualize treatment and inform aftercare planning.
